Assessments can be done in as a little as one sitting , however, it is best to keep them ongoing. The following gives you a guideline for when to complete your Time Two (T2) assessments.
How do you decide whether to use an ELAP or a LAP3 on a child?
What is the child's chronological age on July 1st?
Do you always need a T1 AND a T2?
It really depends on when the T1 was completed. Any T1 assessment dated July 1 through March 31st is required to have a matching T2. April 1st through June 30th is not sufficient time to get both a T1 and a T2.
Do you have to complete each assessment section?
Yes, yes and yes with the exception of children under 6 months and the Self-Help domain. Because the self help domain begins with skills at 6 months, it is likely that the child will not have data for that area. You are still required to enter scores only you will be using 0's for each.
What do I do with my assessment "data?"
You will need to submit dates for completion of the T1 and T2 assessments to designated person in your program. The information is entered on the following form... http://www.ed.psu.edu/isal/edata/child-maintenance-form (Note... you will likely need to cut and paste this address into the command bar to access to document or hit Control+F5 to refresh)
